Why I started Writing

I wrote my first book because of my children. They always wanted me to tell them stories. I was in charge of the bed time routine, so I had plenty of time to tell them stories. I would just make them up as we went along and they loved it! So I started writing down some of the stories and then I decided to write a book about them, starting with Mary and the Magic Bed.

I have always loved reading and writing, but I never thought about writing a book before this. It took me about six months to finish the first draft of my first book and then another six months to edit it.

I would say that if you have an idea for a story, then just write it down!
